Resistant Hypertension
Resistant hypertension is when a person’s blood pressure stays high even after taking three or more types of blood pressure medicines, including a water pill (diuretic), at the right doses. In some cases, blood pressure may be under control but only with four or more medications. This condition is often linked to other health issues like kidney problems, hormone imbalances, obesity or eating too much salt. Managing resistant hypertension is important because it can lead to serious health problems like heart attacks or even strokes. Treatment includes finding the underlying cause, making lifestyle changes and adjusting medications to better control blood pressure.
Symptoms of Resistant Hypertension:
- Uncontrolled high BP
